Network Engineering Technology

Students interested in this course can choose one of two pathways:  CTC Path or Missouri Innovation Campus (MIC) path.

choosing the “CTC Path” will complete the Cisco Networking Academy CCNA 1 & 2 during their first year.  In their second year, seniors will complete the Cisco Networking Academy CCNA 3 & CCNA 4 as well as Digital Media Integration.  Students are strongly recommended to have a non-weighted GPA of 2.0 or higher; a B- or higher in Algebra I and 10th grade proficiency in reading and writing.

Students interested in the “MIC Path”
must meet the following criteriaminimum non-weighted GPA of 3.0,  a B- or higher in Algebra I and 10th grade proficiency in reading and writing.  Students who choose the MIC Path will complete the Cisco Networking Academy CCNA 1-4 during their junior year.  As seniors, students will take college credit courses at MCC and UCM to complete their A.A.S. degree upon high school graduation.  Students in the MIC Path will also work in a paid internship over the course of the school year.

CTC and MIC students will both learn the basic routing, 
switching and advanced technologies to prepare for the CCNA certification and entry level networking careers.
